RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccine helps protect against serious lung and breathing infections caused by RSV, especially in older adults.
RSV vaccine is recommended for:
- Adults aged 75 years and older (eligible for FREE)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and above (eligible for FREE), and
- Older people (60 years and above) with medical conditions that increase their risk of severe RSV illness and hospitalisation (NOT eligible for FREE)
Eligible patients can have RSV vaccine FREE from 15/05/2026.
