Hi All, We now provide home medication reviews, this service means that if you are taking 5 or more types of regular medications everyday you are now eligible for a yearly home medication review with an accredited pharmacist. It is a government funded program so it is completely free of charge for you. What is the benefit of the home medication review? The pharmacist can educate you on how to take your medications correctly, Review any regular medications you are taking, Check your at home techniques for inhalers/injections, Explain the advantages and disadvantages and can overall provide a medication review which provides a medication report for your GP to review for their opinion and suggestions. How often can I use this service? You can request this service once a year, your GP can set up a reminder for next year so that you get an SMS for the next time you are due. What is the cost? If you are eligible for this service the service is completely FREE of charge for you as it is government funded.How does it perform and what to expect? A Pharmacist will contact you to arrange a time suitable for you to do a home visit and they will come out to your home.
