We are pleased to announce that the 2024 Influenza vaccines are now available at our clinic. Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that primarily affect the nose, throat, and in severe cases, the lungs. It can lead to mild to severe illness, and in some instances, even death. The most effective way to prevent influenza is by receiving a flu vaccine annually.
Free flu vaccines are available for the following eligible groups:
- Pregnant women
- Children aged 6 months to less than 5 years old
- Aboriginal individuals aged 6 months to 64 years old
- Adults aged over 65 years old
- Individuals aged 6 months and above with medical risk conditions that meet the specified criteria
Additionally, private flu vaccines are available for individuals aged 5 to 64 years old at a cost of $15.
